Andrew Dawson   //   The Articulate Hand

In a collaboration between Jonathan Cole, neuroscientist and author (and created at STK)  Andrew explores a variety of extraordinary encounters with people with hand impairment.  The environment that we build around ourselves is shaped by the anatomy and function of the hand, through the insight of the scientist and the empathy of the artist, the work explores the experience of impairment.

Mamoru Iriguchi   //   Bang Bang

A live video shooting game.  Mamoru dresses himself up as a naked woman and awaits your passionate love bullets.

Sarah Ruff    //   Hairy Mary

Inspired by the work of David Lynch, Forkbeard Fantasy and The Mighty Boosh, Hairy Mary is a Psychedelic fusion of stand-up comedy, live art and animation. In this one women adventure Sarah Ruff presents to you a series of short stories and poems accompanied by colorful and interactive projected illustrations.  "Sarah Ruff is either an emerging genius, or totally mad.  Or both" Scotsman

We're also happy to be able to include

Forest Fringe   //   Travelling Sounds Library

The all conquering Forest Fringe rocks up with their exquisite collection of audio works, snugly installed in hollowed out books.  Simply pick up a book and immediately find yourself in a world of beguiling audio encounters.

Dear Friends,

I hope you are all well, and trying very hard in this life to mean what you say.  Or at least look like it.  Whoosh!  Seeming is meaning.  That's the image for you.

And so we present our latest event SCREENTEST.  Similar to the others, in that it takes place in our venue, in that there is music and dancing and song, but slightly different in that in this one we are exploring a little question:  What could the Live Screen be?

We all love the screen: you’re looking at one now, and we all love the live event.  So we’re wondering what a Live Screen could be?  Not this, or this, but maybe this?

We’ve asked some pretty cool people what they think, and we’ve come up with some ideas.  There’ll be a bar and live music from some super special guests we can’t yet reveal, a floating MC head, and some fantastic, glorious, silly and dangerous ideas, including:

Chat Roulette Hijack      (join the Facebook group)

“It Went Like this...” - a machine for remembering performance

The Screen Test - test yourself

Elevator Pitch - Instamatic movie pitching device

Deborah Pearson   //   Filmaoke

You've always wanted to say those lines from Casablanca or Nine and a half weeks, haven't you?

Then there are three fantastic performances WHICH START AT 8.30pm!  don't be late.
